Summer Young Artist Coordinator
The Manchester Music Festival (MMF), southwestern Vermont’s premier source for classical music, is looking for a capable, energetic and highly organized person to fill the position of Young Artist Coordinator this summer.
The Young Artist program awards scholarships to talented musicians, aged 18-26, from conservatories around the world. These artists will come to Manchester this year on July 8 to study and perform chamber music until August 12. The Coordinator’s on-site responsibilities will run from approximately July 2 through August 17.
The Coordinator will be responsible for all the activities and accommodations involving the Young Artists: paperwork, housing and concert transportation arrangements, sponsor introductions and relationships, performance and dinner venues, the welcome barbecue and sponsor dinners, stage crew arrangements and props, weekly meetings with the Young Artists, and organizing airport and train pickups.
The successful candidate will have an outgoing, welcoming personality, work well with others, and will approach the Young Artist program responsibilities as an enthusiastic team player. This position is full time, salaried for its seven-week duration and located in Manchester, VT.
