Manchester Youth Ensemble

The Manchester Youth Ensemble (MYE) gives young string players the opportunity to play classical music in an informal and fun group setting. It is open to string players age 7 to 18 with a minimum of one year of lessons and the ability to read music. 
MYE meets the second and fourth Thursday of each month from January through March at Festival House, 42 Dillingham Avenue, Manchester Village. The cost for the program is $40. Each session runs from 6:30 to 7:30PM. Students are given one or two new pieces of music at each session. They are expected to practice their music in order to be prepared for the next rehearsal. To make busy lives easier, an informal supper is provided at no extra charge to students and their family before each session, beginning at 6:00PM. This is a time for children and families to unwind and socialize. The Manchester Youth Ensemble culminates its year with a recital at Equinox Terrace Assisted Living in Manchester, Vermont. The Manchester Youth Ensemble is conducted by Linda Morrison. |
