Meet Evelyne Margaret Martin – MMF’s First Young Ambassador

Evelyne is Manchester Music Festival’s first Young Ambassador. A Manchester area native, her remarkable journey from attending her first MMF concert at age nine to an MMF donor at age eleven to an inspiring figure today exemplifies her deep love for music and education. An avid runner and a talented violinist, she lives for the outdoors and is a person who cares deeply about her community. She has been volunteering at Hildene, the Lincoln Family Home since she was eight helping take care of the animals in the Dene Farm. She also started volunteering last year at her local library. She recently spearheaded an activism group at her school, tackling issues that impact Vermont’s people and the environment they live in. She loves music and all its aspects. As a violinist, she plays in her school band, and was also a member of the GMMDV middle school district orchestra this past year as a principal violinist. Her love of music has led her to MMF and all of the wonderful people that cultivate this incredible organization. As we celebrate our 50th Anniversary Festival, Evelyne will be a prominent, engaging presence, inspiring future generations. We invite you to meet her this summer – her enthusiasm is infectious!
