Pianist Christopher Johnson has appeared extensively in recitals, on radio and TV, as soloist with orchestras, and in chamber ensembles throughout the United States, Canada, Central and South America, Europe, and Asia.  He made his solo recital debut at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall followed by dozens of performances with NYC orchestras performing Rachmaninoff’s Concertos No. 2, No. 3, Paganini Rhapsody, as well as concertos by Tchaikovsky, Grieg, Saint-Saëns, and Mozart.

2026 marks the 30th anniversary performing annually at the Bar Harbor Music Festival in Maine.  He has also been a frequent performer at the Sembrich Opera Museum on Lake George since 2007 and at Piano Evenings with David Dubal in NYC since 2019.  His numerous recordings of Gary Eskow can be found on Apple Music, Amazon Music, and Spotify.

Johnson received his BM from the Juilliard School, where he studied with Abbey Simon and assisted David Dubal.  He received his MM and DMA from the Manhattan School of Music, where he studied with Byron Janis and Marc Silverman.  Striving to always improve performances, Christopher continues to receive coaching from acclaimed pianist, Olegna Fuschi.
